Heart-Shaped Moist Chocolate Cake by Secret Recipe

I had my Valentines Cake on Feb.15, 2011. Just a week before Valentines, I ran into this website at facebook, citydelivery.com.ph. It's a multi-restaurant delivery service which delivers food from participating restos at a minimal charge. They had promos, and one of these is the P499 Heart-Shaped Moist Chocolate Cake by Secret Recipe. It has a caramel filling and topped with upside-down fresh strawberries. The photo looks yummy so I told myself that I have to try this. However, due to my busy schedule, I forgot about Heart's Day until it came...I suddenly remembered my cake! I also remembered that the website said that reservation is until Feb.15 so I immediately called City Delivery Hotline. Then a funny story began...

Feb. 14, I called City Delivery at around 11am. I requested the cake to be delivered by 12nn.

The agent of City Delivery however told me that possible delivery time shall be 3pm onwards since its Valentines!


I am planned to go undertime that day so I requested to have it delivered it on the 15th instead...at 5pm.

Suddenly at 5pm of Feb.14th when I was already home, our receptionist just called me and told that I have a cake delivered at our office!  Haha! City Delivery and Secret Recipe had a miscommunication...kaya ayun, no choice sila but to deliver another cake kinabukasan...eh ayaw nila dalhin ng Marikina eh...baka ma-deform na daw :) Pero in fairness nung nakuha ko ang cake nung 15th, hindi naman siya nasira kahit Makati pa ako galing at bumiyahe pa ako ng 1 hour...overall rating for this cake is FTW! Taste, quality and affordability. Their promo offered this cake at P499 only, plus 10% delivery charge for a total price of P548.90.

Van had a hard time to concentrate with his homework with the cake infront of him :) And sa sobrang kakalaway ng cake, nakalimutan na namin kunan ng photo while it's whole! :)
